Fulcher 2 Stay Podcast: Bengals Lose, Eat Sad Cookies

92

The Bengals dropped to 1-2 after losing their first home game of the season, and while it’s not time to panic yet, there are some things worth discussing regarding the team’s performance against the Fightin’ Trevor Siemians. And that’s what we at the Fulcher 2 Stay podcast do. There were good things—Von Miller and the Broncos pass rush were held in check for the most part—but the secondary produced one of their worst performances in a while. Oh and A.J. Green is a father now so that means that he is clearly much more concerned about his infant son rather than catching footballs, which in turn means the Bengals will have to account for that until little Easton Green heads off to college. It’s still early, sure. The Bengals are not healthy yet, Vontaze Burfict will probably return this Thursday against the Miami Dolphins, Tyler Eifert will hopefully be healthy in time for the trip to Dallas the following week, and all may be right with the world. But if the Bengals somehow blow the Thursday night game (and they will almost certainly win by 40 or lose on a last-second field goal), it may be time for Bengals fans to be concerned. For now, the Bengals will probably just eat sad cookies until they feel better.
