The Write Stuff

61

How’s that novel coming, eh? If you’re struggling with character development (and who isn’t?), there’s help: Covington Writers Group is holding a writing seminar led by pros who can show you how to put meat on the bones of your protagonist. Or antagonist. Or whatever persona is eluding your pen.

It’s Saturday, July 26, at Kenton County Public Library in Covington. NKU creative writing prof and novelist Stephen Leigh shares his wisdom from 1-2:30 p.m.; Dee Garretson, a HarperCollins middle school author, will speak from 2:30 to 4. And afterward there will be time to meet the authors and kvetch about your writing with other sympathetic souls. You’ll need to register, so call organizer Bob Black (919/601-1382) for all the details. Can’t go but looking for a writers group? This crowd also gets together twice a month to read their work and help one another.
