Best known as founding member and lead singer of Devo, Akron-born Mark Mothersbaugh will be featured in Myopia, a retrospective exhibition at the Contemporary Arts Center this month. Mothersbaugh has been making art for decades, including work from his Devo days as well as prints, drawings, sculptures, rugs, paintings, and video animations. Also, his life-long series of postcard-sized pieces will be displayed in their entirety for the first time.

If you want to see Mothersbaugh in the flesh, the CAC presents him in concert at the Woodward Theater Friday, August 28 at 8 p.m. to showcase orchestral interpretations of Devo songs as well as his compositions for multiple films (including The Royal Tenenbaums and The Lego Movie).

Performance Fri, August 28, 8 p.m., Woodward Theater, 1404 Main St., Over-the-Rhine, Myopia starts Sept 25, CAC, contemporaryartscenter.org
