Bunbury 2015 Countdown: 5 Videos in 5 Days

In anticipation of this weekend’s Bunbury Music Festival, we’re posting a music video every day this week of one of the artists performing this weekend. To see the rest of the videos, click here.

Our hump-day track is the Decemberists’ “Calamity Song” from the band’s 2011 album, The King is Dead. The music video—directed by Parks & Recreation creator Michael Schur—was inspired by David Foster Wallace’s 1996 novel Infinite Jest, set in the dystopian world of a junior tennis academy. The song is also my current ringtone. (Yes, adults still have ringtones.) You can catch the Decemberists on the Sawyer Point Stage at 6:15 on Saturday.

“On the road, it’s well advised that you follow your own bag / In the year of the chewable Ambien tab.”
