If you were in grade school in America any time in the last 20 years, you know who Bill Nye the Science Guy is. His PBS show ran for just five seasons, but still plays a role in American science education. Since leaving the children’s television game in 1998, Nye has remained in the public eye by appearing on Dancing With The Stars in 2013, writing books, and most recently, publicly debating Answers in Genesis founder and CEO Ken Ham on the subject of Evolution (needless to say, the Science Guy is pro). His latest book, Unstoppable: Harnessing Science to Change the World, hit shelves this week and dives into different ways humans can use science to rise to the occasion and correct environmental issues in today’s world.

Nye is bringing his book tour to Cincinnati at the Main Library’s Reading Garden Lounge. After a few brief remarks, the author will be signing copies of his new book. The event is free, but requires a ticket to enter the book signing. Tickets are complimentary with purchase of Unstoppable from the Cincinnati Library here.

Tuesday, Nov. 17, 7 p.m., 800 Vine St., downtown, (513) 369-6900, cincinnatilibrary.org
