Last year ArtWorks premiered its Big Pitch competition, in which creative business owners and entrepreneurs pitted their business models and ideas against each other for a chance at mentorship opportunities and, for the grand winner, a generous cash grant.

Now, ArtWorks is seeking applicants for round two of what they plan to be an annual event. Business owners who meet the requirements start by submitting a 3-minute video and a current business plan by the application deadline, May 11. Through the competitive application process, eight finalists will be chosen for pairing with a business mentor as well as a U.S. Bank Small Business Banking Specialist. Each finalist then spends ten weeks working with their mentor and specialist to smooth the edges of their business plan and create a powerful pitch for the culminating public pitch event on August 27.

The winner receives a $15,000 business grant, with another $5,000 grant awarded to the Audience Choice. And while 6 of the 8 finalists don’t walk away with financial aid, they gain indispensable help with business growth simply through their one-on-one mentoring experience as well as the exposure the competition brings.
