On a recent day it hit us: the secret influence that Wilder, Kentucky’s country music mecca Bobby Mackey’s has had on the hip-hop world. Exhibit A is Mackey’s logo, designed by Robert Ranshaw in the mid-’80s. Rap cartel the Wu-Tang Clan weren’t even formed until 1992, when producer Mathematics designed their logo. Almost looks like Mathematics flipped the script, literally.
