You Should Be Eating This: Bûche de Noël

If you're not feeling festive quite yet, then a good old bûche de Noël—complete with teeny chocolate woodland mushrooms—will get you there. (And if it doesn't, then show yourself out.)

There's no better spot to try this classic French Christmastime dessert than at French Crust Café, owned and operated by our favorite local Frenchman, Jean-Robert de Cavel. This version is made with sponge cake and coffee pastry cream, but you can also find the traditional dark chocolate one there too. Merry merry.
